Always & Forever Together

This past July, Scott and I spent a weekend in a little
cabin tucked away in the trees out in the woods
to celebrate our 10yr wedding anniversary!

While we were there, we discovered a hammock hanging amongst the trees.

We spent lots of time there swinging, talking and
looking at the beautiful creation around us.

As I looked up to the leaves above us, I noticed that there were different
shades of green.
Some of the leaves were bright green and some of them were faded.

Alot like our 10+ years together...

Starting on July 13, 2002
the day that I became Mrs.Neville, life became brighter!
Since that day, things that I only dreamed about before have now become my reality.
I am not only the wife of the man that I love
but also a mother to 4 of the most
beautiful children
I have ever layed eyes on!

I won't say that our life together has been perfect because that would not be true.
There have definitely been ups and downs and times that have
been very trying for both of us,"faded" times of life!

What I will say is that I'm thankful that our love
has remained through those times.

There have been times, we have felt distant and far apart...

times that we've had to hang on with everything in us....

and keep going no matter how dark it seemed ahead.

We always persevere together and find our way back
to a "brighter" place again!

There have been challenges we have faced
during these past 10 years
and I'm sure that there are many more ahead of us!

I am positive that there will be lots more "bright" days

and no doubt
more "faded" days that lie ahead for us
in this journey of life.

One thing I know for sure is that no matter what our future holds, we will face it together
~hand in hand~
just as we have always done.

Even when it's hard to see the path that is before us...

we will go, together!

We will explore new places,

try new things,

and have tons of fun along the way...

at times we may get a little crazy...

and no doubt we won't always wake up to breakfast in bed,

beautiful trails to walk through

with butterflies

and flowers blooming out of tree stumps.

Sometimes there will be cliffs to dodge...

and steep steps to climb...

but no matter how scary it looks....

I will look for you...

and we will face it together!

Just as we have done for the past 10 years!

I love you Phillip Scott Neville ~Always *&* Forever~

Family Of Flowers

Today has been a bit overwhelming!
Caitlyn and I just got home
from one of her appointments at the hospital and I didn't exactly get
the news that I wanted.
On our way home, my heart was heavy.
I looked in my rearview mirror and saw a happy, smiling little girl
and I tried to smile back to hide the pain that I was feeling.
I just started driving and Catie was talking away about the pictures that she had drawn
while we were at the hospital. So I began listening to her explain
the meanings behind all of her pictures.
She held up a picture, smiled and said "I love this one, it's a family of flowers."

She started explaining in detail about how each of the flowers were different.
They are different shapes, different colors and some are
taller while others are shorter.

I smiled while I said to her "Catie, that is beautiful and it reminds me of our family!"
Her picture really made me think about how different we all really are.

Some are tall and others are small....

One may love playing soccer...

while another would rather cheer the team on!

One of us may have lots of hair...

and another may not have much hair at all!

We have different "looks", different "styles",
different talents, different interests, likes and dislikes,
and we all have different needs!

We are like the family of flowers!

As different as we all are, we are all part of the

One may need extra help at school, one may have extra medical needs,
one may be extra talented at singing while another
can draw awesome pictures.

One may be an excellent reader while another is great at math
and the list goes on and on.

We are all different in many ways!

 I'm thankful that Catie
helped me realize that today.

I have choosen to look for some good in our situation!
I now realize that this is just part of our differences and that we will face it and
we will stand together, just like the "family of flowers!"

Things may get a little chaotic at times...

and there are times we may feel a little afraid

but we all know where our help and peace comes from!

God has been and always will be enough!

Thankfully HE loves us so much that He not only causes a rose to bloom in our valley
but He has also blessed us with each other!

We have each other to enjoy the good times with

and to get through the not so good times with!

Thank you Lord for your blessings and for my family!

No matter the ups and downs, we still have You and we still have each other!
